Zdravo, ime mi je Andrew GJ alias DJ Droid. Oddaja “Tunes From Turtle Island” se posveča igranju izključno domordne glasbe ustvarjalcev z “Otoka želv”. Medtem, ko sem spremljal proteste leta 2016 na Standing Rock naftovodu, sem slišal glasbo, ki jo nisem zasledil nikoli prej. Zato sem poskušal izvedeti od kod prihaja ta glasba. V oddaji bom za vas igral različne zvrsti glasbe: country, punk, jazz, hip-hop, tradicionalno in eksperimentalno glasbo, soul, rock, blues in vse od leta 1920 naprej pa do danes. Moj namen je, da vam približam čudovito in raznoliko glasbo. Mislim celo, da je nobeden v Evropi ne vrti po radijskih sprejemnikih. Upam, da boste uživali v mojem miksu domordne glasbe ustvarjalcev iz Severne Amerike.

Hi I’m Andrew GJ. Tunes From Turtle Island is dedicated to playing only indigenous artists from Turtle Island. Whilst following the Standing Rock oil pipeline protests of 2016, I heard music I hadn't encountered before and pursued an internet audio trail to find a wealth of sounds. In the show I play all genres: country, punk, jazz, hip-hop, traditional, experimental, soul, rock, blues and more ranging from the 1920s to the present day. My aim is to introduce more people to this amazing and varied music as I think no one else in Europe is doing this. I hope you enjoy my eclectic mix of tracks from the indigenous music scenes of North America.

Hallo, ich bin Andrew GJ. Tunes From Turtle Island widmet sich der Aufgabe, nur indigene Künstler von Turtle Island zu spielen. Während ich die Proteste gegen die Standing Rock-Ölpipeline im Jahr 2016 verfolgte, hörte ich Musik, die ich vorher nicht kannte, und verfolgte eine Internet-Audiospur, um eine Fülle von Klängen zu finden. In der Show spiele ich alle genres: Country, Punk, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Traditionelles, Experimentelles, Soul, Rock, Blues und mehr, von den 1920er Jahren bis heute. Mein Ziel ist es, mehr Menschen mit dieser erstaunlichen und abwechslungsreichen Musik bekannt zu machen, da ich glaube, dass dies sonst niemand in Europa tut. Ich hoffe, Sie genießen meinen eklektischen Mix von Tracks aus den einheimischen Musikszenen Nordamerikas.
